I have had a love of photography for many years.

It began when I was an amateur astronomer this brought new challenges capturing the wonders of the night sky

One region I have come to love  the Highlands and Islands of Scotland. This is where my passion for wildlife photography lead to my  book, “Timeless Landscapes”, about the Islands of Skye and Mull.

I enjoy photographing wildlife anywhere where there is an opportunity but take me well North and it seems like an extra sense has been switched on,

One of my favourite and probably most challenging subjects is photographing the elusive otter. Luckily I have the patience of a saint when it comes to watching and waiting for that right moment. Being in the right place at the right time is a magical feeling and sometimes I know I have something special the moment the shutter closes
